In the bleak midwinter…

Here’s a great ‘before’ and ‘after’ from the Uplyme wildlife pool garden. Pictures taken 2 years apart, but both photographed just about now – in midwinter.  Goes to show that you can have colour and form even on the most dreary of days.

Certain grasses, such as Stipas and Cortaderia, provide interest well into the New Year, while Pittosporums and Phormiums inject some colour into the leached landscape…

The mud though, I’m very glad we’re past all that.
