Garden in print

Delighted to be featured in this months ‘Gardens Illustrated’ for the garden I designed in 2013, for Vanessa and Jethro in Uplyme.  A new extension to the house had created an opportunity to re-landscape the grounds from scratch, including a new patio, raised terraces and a planting scheme inspired by the gravel gardens of Beth Chatto.

Thanks to plantswoman Hannah Gardner for an engaging and thoughtful piece and beautiful photography by Jason Ingram.

An earlier blog I wrote shows the initial planting before it matured – always fascinating to see how much the planting can change in a few years.

Plants supplied by Rainbow Plants, and construction by Simon Aplin Fencing and Landscaping.
