Here’s part of a Lyme garden I planted up last year, a mix of evergreens, grasses and herbaceous plants.

Clipped box hedging follows the raised stone wall, enclosing a terracotta planter surrounded by heuchera, hosta and bergenia, and the catchily named ‘Hakonechloa macra aureola’ (golden japanese grass)

Hard landscaping designed by my client, the multi-skilled Tony (who also makes those lovely veg boxes you see in Millers…)
